What If Something Goes Wrong After Dental Treatment Abroad? Warranty and Who Pays
What to do, who pays for the repair and who pays for travel, how long the warranty lasts, and whether your dentist at home will fix it.
Jovana lives in Toronto. She needed an implant — and, like most people, she was afraid of the dentist. Here is how it went, in her own words.
Jovana from Toronto on her implant (49 seconds, in Serbian with German subtitles)
Jovana compared practices in Canada and in Serbia, because she often visits her parents and friends in Belgrade.
“Dental treatment in Toronto is much more expensive. In Belgrade it is far more affordable — but that doesn't mean the treatment is worse.”
She was sceptical about one thing only: time. When she is in Belgrade, she never stays long.
“In 10 days I managed to have the implant placed, recover and have the stitches removed.”
“I have to admit that, like most people, I'm afraid of the dentist. But I spent a total of 20 minutes in the chair.”
In those 20 minutes the implant was placed and a problem with a crown on another tooth was solved too. Afterwards she went for a lemonade at a café, and three days later she was at a wedding.
“You replied very quickly, despite the time difference. I got to know the doctor very soon, too.”
“The procedure was absolutely everything that had been explained to me — even much better.”
Her implant was placed by Dr Ninoslav Konatar at our Belgrade clinic. Meet him here.
“I would recommend it to absolutely everyone — especially people who are afraid of the dentist and have been putting off treatment for years.”
